Agriturismo in southern Tuscany, only 2 km from the sea
It is not easy to find a nice agriturismo near the Tuscan coast. Usually you can find these further inland. So I was very happy to find this agriturismo, only two kilometres from the sea and the beach. So I quickly made an appointment!
The owners of the agriturismo were two friendly and welcoming sisters who enthusiastically told me about the renovation, the equestrian centre, the vineyard and all about the agriturismo. Meanwhile, I had fallen in love with the beautiful view! Rolling hills with vineyards, fruit trees and beautiful olive groves. And all this only a few kilometres from the sea! From the agriturismo a 20-minute walk through the fields will bring you to the seaside, or you can go by bike.
The charming coastal towns of San Vincenzo and Castiglione della Pescaia are respectively 15 and 45 kilometres from the agriturismo and are well worth a visit. They are nice little towns with lots of shops, restaurants, cafés and bars. And of course you will find beautiful beaches here, too. The port of Piombino is only 10 kilometres away and here you can catch the boat to Elba. Highly recommended for a nice day trip!
Heated pool, breakfast and riding school
In the garden of the agriturismo is a beautiful heated pool with a separate jacuzzi area and sun loungers and parasols. This is a nice swimming pool for children. Thanks to the gradually descending steps the children can easily get in and out of the water. Wine tastings are also organised at wineries in the area. In the agriturismo’s beautiful equestrian centre it is possible to have riding lessons, even for children. They also organise horseback excursions in the area. Nearby are several restaurants, the nearest is one kilometre away from the property.
The apartments
The agriturismo has one double bedroom and 9 bilocale apartments (one bedroom and a sofa bed in the living room). The apartments have modern furnishings and most have a small terrace or balcony, air conditioning, satellite TV, oven and dishwasher. The double-room is situated on the first floor and has a private balcony, air conditioning and satellite TV. Wifi is available on site (in the communal areas).
In short
A very welcoming agriturismo near the Tuscan coast and not far from lively resorts. You will not easily find a nice agriturismo so near the sea. A great opportunity for those who want to enjoy the Tuscan beaches.
