Elegant countryside retreat with top-class restaurant, close to Lake Maggiore

Just 20 kilometres from lively Arona, near Lake Maggiore, lies this charming agriturismo, surrounded by 12 hectares of greenery. Fully renovated in 2025, it now offers a lovely mix of tranquillity, comfort, and excellent cuisine. An ideal place to unwind and enjoy the good Italian life.

Culinary delights

The restaurant is the heart of the agriturismo. Everything here revolves around local flavours, with dishes prepared using fresh ingredients from the kitchen garden and wines from the estate itself. Expect regional recipes with a creative twist, homemade pasta, freshly baked bread, and refined desserts.
Chef Alessio – who has worked in Michelin-starred kitchens, including Gordon Ramsay’s – returned to his hometown to revive the flavours of his region in a refined and contemporary way. Together with his team, he serves dishes that bring together craftsmanship, local ingredients, and creativity. The menu changes with the seasons and is based on daily fresh products from the garden or local suppliers.

The restaurant is open for dinner from Wednesday to Saturday, and on Sundays for lunch. 

Visit the lakes and Milan

The agriturismo is just a 20-minute drive from Orta San Giulio, a picturesque village on Lake Orta. Also worth visiting is Stresa on Lake Maggiore, about 35 minutes away, known for its elegant early 20th-century hotels. Arona, also on Lake Maggiore, is 20 minutes away and perfect for a relaxing stroll along the promenade.
Nature lovers can reach the summit of Mottarone in about 45 minutes – from the top, several lakes and the southern Alps are visible. Lastly, Milan is about an hour’s drive away. The city is known for fashion and design, and offers excellent shopping opportunities, as well as sights such as the Duomo and the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II.

Wellness

Starting in September 2025, guests can enjoy the new wellness area, featuring a sauna, steam bath, and an ‘emotional’ shower – a welcome addition for those seeking extra relaxation.

A swimming pool will be available from May 2026.

The rooms

The nine rooms of the agriturismo are quietly located, tastefully decorated, and were completely renovated in 2025. They combine traditional elements with contemporary comfort, and feature air conditioning, a private bathroom, and views of the surrounding greenery. Some rooms also have a private terrace.
Each day starts with breakfast in the cosy breakfast room or – in good weather – on the veranda in the garden.

In short

This charming agriturismo is an excellent base from which to explore Lake Maggiore and nearby Lake Orta. Milan is also within easy reach for a day trip. With its relaxing atmosphere, refined cuisine, and beautiful setting, it’s a place to completely unwind – while still having the best of Northern Italy at your fingertips.
