What is an agriturismo
Agriturismos are gaining in popularity. Not so strange, because it means you are staying in the Italian countryside. On a farm, where for instance wine is produced, or olive oil. What is the accommodation like? This can be a renovated mansion, a luxury villa or a bed & breakfast. With a view of the hills or the mountains, for instance. Or of vineyards and olive groves. The environment is natural, smiling, and peaceful. Con calma.
Pure local dishes in the farm restaurant
Italian cuisine is renowned for its pure flavours and fresh ingredients. Every region, subregion and even every village has its own specialties. Are you, like me, a fan of Italian cuisine? If the answer is yes, an agriturismo with a restaurant is of course ideal. Here you can taste pure local dishes, prepared with seasonal produce. The usually organic ingredients are often produced by the farm where you’re staying. That makes the Italian experience complete. And after a lovely evening of dining out? You simply make your way back home. No dishes, no cares.
