Agriturismo with breakfast al fresco in Sicily
The agriturismo is a former grain and wine farm. It is surrounded by citrus trees, just 7 kilometres from the beautiful and vibrant city of Syracuse and near the beach (about 10 km). I was there in June and the garden of the agriturismo was filled with beautiful flowers in all possible colours. Almost all the rooms and apartments have direct access to the garden and a private patio.
Rooms
There are 11 rooms and 4 apartments at the agriturismo. The rooms are spacious, simply furnished and have a private bathroom with hairdryer, air conditioning and minibar. The apartments are simply and functionally furnished and have either a living room with double bed or a mezzanine with a double bed and in some cases a separate bedroom. The kitchens are small but functional.
Swimming pool, restaurant
The agriturismo has a swimming pool with sun loungers and a restaurant. The restaurant is located in the room where the kitchen range used to be, and you can still see it. I can warmly recommend the restaurant here. Chef Anna prepares a delicious meal from simple, fresh ingredients! Breakfast is served in the courtyard, near the huge olive tree.
In short
This agriturismo is strategically located and therefore an ideal base to discover Sicily. Siracusa, Noto, Ragusa, Taormina, Modica and Palazzolo Acreide are all worth a visit and within easy reach. And if you just want to relax, you can go to the nearby beach or to the pool.
