Boutique hotel in Tuscany with Spa and restaurant
Every now and then, you come across a place that reveals very little from the outside. This stylish boutique hotel is located along the main road of a charming small village and is almost hidden among the houses of the local residents. Step inside, however, and you'll find a surprisingly peaceful and elegant atmosphere. During my visit, I was warmly welcomed with a glass of prosecco in the lounge bar – a lovely introduction to a relaxing stay.
The lounge bar plays a central role within the hotel. Whether you're enjoying the wellness area, relaxing on the sun terrace or spending time by the pool, you can easily order a refreshing Spritz or another cocktail.
This small hotel combines contemporary comfort with modern design. The lounge, bar and restaurant have a stylish, contemporary feel without ever feeling impersonal. It is an ideal choice for couples looking for peace and quiet, wellness facilities and the authentic atmosphere of Tuscany, away from the crowds of the better-known tourist destinations.
Between nature and Tuscan villages
The boutique hotel is located in the centre of a lively village in the Casentino Valley, in eastern Tuscany. Thanks to its central location, it is easy to explore both the natural beauty and cultural highlights of this still relatively undiscovered part of Tuscany.
A short drive away lies the Foreste Casentinesi National Park, a beautiful natural area with extensive forests, walking trails and impressive views. Places such as Poppi, with its imposing medieval castle, Bibbiena and the beautiful village of Anghiari have yet to attract large numbers of tourists, but are certainly no less worth visiting.
Well-known towns and cities such as Arezzo, Cortona and Florence can also be reached in just over an hour by car.
Wellness, pool and a gym
One of the hotel's main highlights is its extensive wellness area, which is included in your stay. Here you'll find an indoor and outdoor pool with a counter-current swimming system, a whirlpool, sauna, Turkish bath and a wellness shower with different water and light effects. The perfect place to unwind after a day of sightseeing or hiking.
The sun terrace is equipped with comfortable loungers for those who prefer to relax outdoors. The hotel also features a modern fitness room with Technogym equipment, including a treadmill, exercise bike, rowing machine and weight bench. In addition, there is a functional training area with free weights, fitness mats, resistance bands and other workout accessories. A range of massages and beauty treatments is available at an additional cost.
Bistro & Lounge bar
The bistro is a welcoming and relaxed place to enjoy a meal from an accessible menu. Alongside local specialities such as pici and panzanella, as well as seasonal dishes (for example risotto with fresh asparagus and lemon), you'll also find familiar favourites including steak, burgers and spare ribs.
The lounge bar is a pleasant place to end the day with an aperitivo or cocktail, served with accompanying snacks. Wine lovers can choose from an extensive wine list featuring more than 300 labels.
Rooms and suites
The rooms and suite are modern and tastefully furnished, with warm colours and high-quality materials creating a calm and comfortable atmosphere. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning, a safe and a kettle. They are located on the ground, first or second floor and can all be reached by lift.
Some rooms have a small balcony with a table and two chairs. For those looking for extra comfort, there is a spacious suite with two private terraces. One is designed for relaxing outdoors or enjoying a glass of wine, while the second features a private jacuzzi, making the suite an excellent choice for a romantic getaway.
As the hotel is located in the centre of the village, some rooms overlook the surrounding buildings. In my opinion, this adds to the authentic character of the property, but it is worth noting that not every room enjoys open views.
In short
A stylish boutique hotel with extensive wellness facilities and a restaurant, located in an authentic Tuscan village. Thanks to its combination of tranquillity, comfort, good food and a central location between nature, charming lesser-known towns and Tuscan cities, it makes an excellent base for couples looking to discover a different side of Tuscany.
