Luxury relais with restaurant and wellness facilities near Arezzo
As you arrive, a long avenue of cypress trees hints that something special lies beyond. The moment I drove through the gate, I was impressed. Set in the countryside, this charming relais is housed within a beautifully restored borgo, combining authentic Tuscan character with a calm, contemporary feel. Natural stone, wooden beams and carefully chosen natural materials create a warm and welcoming atmosphere without feeling formal. I received a warm welcome from the restaurant team on the terrace, with a cup of coffee and a glass of cold water – a lovely introduction to the genuine hospitality that comes so naturally here.
This attractive relais is located in the green Casentino Valley, an area known for its forests, open countryside and historic villages. Its location is ideal for those wishing to explore both Tuscany and neighbouring Umbria during their holiday. The charming town of Arezzo is just a twenty-minute drive away, while Cortona, Poppi and Lake Trasimeno are all within easy reach for a day trip. Florence, Siena and the Chianti region can also comfortably be visited, with driving times of just over an hour.
Rooms & Suites
The eight elegant rooms and suites each have their own character and overlook either the garden or the rolling Tuscan hills. Some feature a private patio or garden, offering a peaceful spot to relax outdoors. Families or small groups can also choose interconnected rooms. Naturally, all rooms are equipped with air conditioning and Wi-Fi.
What immediately stands out is the attention to detail. Modern comforts, such as stylish glass bathroom walls, blend seamlessly with authentic handmade furniture crafted by local artisans. One detail I particularly remember is the fragrance used throughout the property. I liked it so much that I immediately asked for its name and now have it at home myself.
The combination of rural charm and contemporary comfort creates an atmosphere in which you quickly feel at home.
Delicious breakfast & welcoming restaurant
The restaurant is undoubtedly one of the highlights of this small boutique agriturismo. What makes this place particularly appealing is that, despite having just eight rooms, guests can enjoy food and drinks throughout the day. From a generous breakfast in the cosy conservatory or on the terrace to a light lunch, a refreshing spritz by the pool, an aperitivo at sunset or a memorable dinner beneath the stars.
The atmosphere is relaxed yet refined, with a cosy indoor dining area and a beautiful outdoor terrace, complemented by several seating areas scattered throughout the garden. During the summer months, guests dine surrounded by greenery, overlooking the surrounding countryside.
The kitchen focuses as much as possible on organic produce from its own garden and locally sourced ingredients. The menu follows the seasons and celebrates pure flavours, the property's own organic olive oil and artisanal products. When there is sufficient interest, pizza evenings are organised around the outdoor wood-fired oven.
Thanks to the restaurant, sunset aperitivo and the option of enjoying lunch on-site, this is a place where you can happily spend the entire day relaxing by the pool and enjoying the Tuscan way of life.
In short
The combination of peace, space and nature, together with facilities such as an inviting restaurant and a small wellness area, offers a modern interpretation of luxury. An ideal choice for couples and those seeking tranquillity, who appreciate charm, excellent food and a relaxed stay in refined yet informal surroundings.
