A peaceful agriturismo among the Tuscan hills, close to the sea
Among the green hills of the Maremma in southern Tuscany lies this beautifully restored agriturismo, surrounded by centuries-old olive trees and Mediterranean woodlands. It is wonderfully tranquil here: no traffic, no rush—only the soft sounds of nature and a view that stretches all the way to the sea. The property is easy to reach via a paved road, and about ten kilometres away you’ll find a small village with shops, bars and restaurants. The coast — including the beautiful Golfo di Baratti and the lively promenade of Follonica — is just a 30-minute drive away.
The owners, both architects, fell in love with this abandoned 18th-century estate many years ago. With great respect for the surroundings and the use of natural materials, they fully rebuilt it and transformed it into an intimate hideaway where tradition and modern comfort blend harmoniously. The atmosphere is relaxed, natural and authentically Tuscan — an ideal place to unwind and step away from daily life.
Pool, breakfast and bike-friendly facilities
The agriturismo sits on a large private estate with a network of walking paths weaving through the olive groves and woodland — perfect for guests who enjoy hiking. At its heart is the stunning infinity pool, seemingly spilling into the valley below. From your sunbed you can take in the views over the hills all the way to the sea, while the ancient cork oaks provide natural shade. Thanks to the mild saltwater filtration, there is no typical chlorine smell and the water feels pleasantly soft on the skin. Breakfast is available on request and can be reserved when booking. Cyclists will also feel right at home: there is a secure bike storage area and the reception can provide personalised cycling routes.
The owner lives on the estate and personally welcomes her guests. She knows the area inside out and is happy to share tips for day trips and tell you more about the region’s most beautiful spots.
Rooms and apartments
The agriturismo offers 2 charming rooms, 2 apartments and 2 detached cottages, all with their own outdoor space with table, chairs and parasol (more or less private depending on the type). The interiors are compact yet warm and inviting, with an authentic Tuscan atmosphere and modern comfort. There is no air conditioning, but fans are provided.
In short
A small-scale, lovingly restored agriturismo immersed in nature, with breathtaking views reaching all the way to the sea. Perfect for those seeking peace, as well as walkers, cyclists and anyone who wants to enjoy the real Tuscan landscape with the beach within easy reach. With its beautiful infinity pool, warm hospitality and atmospheric accommodations, this is a wonderful place to truly unwind.
