Romantic agriturismo between the Tuscan hills and the sea

I came across this lovely agriturismo on my way to the coastal town of Porto Ercole in southern Tuscany, (famous as the holiday residence of the Dutch royal family)! A beautiful route with the sea on my right and on my left the hills clad with vineyards and olive groves. The track leading to the agriturismo, lined with cypress trees and flowering rosemary immediately puts you in the right mood. This is the perfect agriturismo to relax in!

The Maremma, a province in the southern Tuscany, has not been discovered by the masses yet, but it has a lot to offer. Authentic inland villages, lively beach resorts, beautiful beaches, Etruscan excavations (as at Pitigliano), a national park on the coast and hot springs (Saturnia).

Dinner & Pool

From the beautiful garden and pool you have views of the property’s vineyards of and a picturesque hilltop village. For over 20 years the family has owned a restaurant in a nearby village. Three times a week they cook for the guests at the agriturismo. The typical cuisine of the Maremma of which they are very proud. In good weather, dinner and breakfast are served outside on the veranda.

Rooms & Apartments

Everything is spacious and there are a total of 3 farmhouses: one with rooms, one with superior rooms and a farmhouse with one-bedroom apartments. Almost all the rooms have a private balcony or terrace overlooking the garden. The superior rooms have private verandas, each at a corner of the farmhouse, to give guests some privacy. The apartments have corner verandas too, and each have their own brick BBQ. All rooms and apartments have air conditioning.
